I graduated from Boston English High (1952), went to MIT; earned a B.S. and M.S. in Metallurgy/Materials Science; primarily worked in engineering/research/management activities; long time in semiconductor materials/defense electronics.
Spent six months on active duty (1957) in the Army and several years in the MA National Guard.
In retrospect, if I were not an engineer, I would have been a good coach/manager in baseball, football or basketball: would have preferred to have played seriously, but I knew early on that I was not good enough to play at that level.
I have lived in Lexington (MA) for 42-plus years, married for 45 years, daughter (42), son (38), four grandkids (ages one through nine): took early retirement at 55, worked as a consultant for 3-4 years. Presently involved in many town, Temple, academic activities, attempting to remain both physically and mentally challenged.
