Jerry had a dog named Jeep that he and his brothers loved deeply. He was great company at our throw-the-can wars in the dump behind the laundry not far Jerry's house. I remember coming home filthy, tired and very happy from from, these fights. The grease from the oil cans we were throwing really made the dirt stick to us.
Twice in New York I ran into Jerry's brother Arthur. One when I was working at the Israel Tourist office he called me from a bank he was working at to have some questions answered and I immediately recognized the name. Years later when I was the self-appointed "mayor" of Union Square and owned a printing shop there I found Arthur and a partner running a busy flower shop just across the Square. I dropped in on them a few times in subsequent years to say hello.
My brother in law and sister lived in Milton and also belongewd to Jerry's Temple so they kept me somewhat up to date on happenings in the Kawadler clan,
